Hi I am trying to find parents of  William Armstrong B: 1949  Parents  john Armstrong and a Mary Glover ,  we know nothing at all where they were from cannot finds a marriage cert anywhere  regards wolly

1949 is too recent for online birth index- GRONI's online database only covers birth over 100 years old. Family Search civil registration index only goes up to 1921 for Northern Ireland counties. You'll need to order the certificate from GRONI-

1849 is well before the start of civil registration of births (1864 for births, deaths and Catholic marriages).

In order to find church records you need to have an idea of their religion and where they lived although not all records from that period survive.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
