So, perhaps church(?) chapter(?) disowned the Husseys?

In addition to Sandwich, Massachusetts, there is also a Sandwich, New Hampshire.

This doesn't help find his marriage, but looking at the ages, the 1830 census previously mentioned could be for your James.

Looking at page 33 (Dunning through Evans) in the 1833 Dover, New Hampshire City Directory
there were no Ellis' included (I don't know if he might be shown elsewhere in the directory)   

there was a
Betsey Hussey, widow, Waldron street

There probably isn't any connection (since Ellis isn't an unusual surname), but since we haven't found James' marriage record, I thought I would mention any information, in case there could be leads.  [Perhaps family members?]

After a somewhat quick search, I do not see Simeon after 1830.  Strange that both James and Simeon seem to have disappeared.

Ruth Hussey - Born in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire, USA on 22 Sep 1795 to Elijah Hussey and Jane Bickford. Ruth married James H Ellis. She passed away on 25 Jul 1863.

I can't find Ruth's passing.     Was the information from a family tree?

I was hoping that if we could find out where she was buried, perhaps we might find James' burial as well.  Depending upon the cemetery records, a place of birth might have been recorded for James.
