Anderton family, Bank Head, Walton le Dale, Lancashire
« on: Saturday 16 July 16 11:46 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am looking to make contact with other descendants of the Anderton family who farmed at Bank Head, Walton Le Dale from c. 1840 to late in the 19th century.

These are descendents of William Anderton who m. Ellen Fazakerly in 1805 in Heskin, Lancs.  they had the following children: Catherine (1807), William (1810), Hugh (1811), Edward (1813), Henry (1815), John (1817).

William (1810) continued farming at Bank Head and m. Sarah Tunstall and had nine children including William, Daniel, Noah and Nathan and many descendents.

There is a large family of Anderton descendents in New Zealand descended from Henry (1815) as all his children emigrated.  I am keen to make contact with anyone who may be descended from other lines of the family from the UK.

Thanks,
Keston.

If you are trying to make contact with descendants and hope to find them on rootschat, then have you looked in the 'Surname Interests' in 'Your Tools' below?  (And have you added your surnames and places there, also?)

Nathan Cyril JENKINSON and Mary DEWHURST in 1932 at Walton le Dale, St Leonard
Looks like a daughter from this marriage. As she might still be living, I will not post her name.

Perhaps you could email one of the local newspapers and ask them to put a message in the paper.
