Ivy Dennis Maud Burton

Ivy Dennis Maud Nurton was born on Bedford District in the December Quarter of 1910.

Her parents were my great great aunt Annie Amelia Burton (née Riley) and her husband Joseph Henry Burton , railway telegraphist.

Ivy is with her parents in Kempston in 1911, but thereafter I can find no trace of her in marriages, deaths or passenger lists.

Would anyone else like to have a go?

1939 electoral register for Yardley shows Joseph Henry, Amelia Annie and Frank Burton in Fordrough Lane/Avenue.

1991 census shows that there is a brother Frank.

Thanks for that. Someone else had tried to check the electoral roll without success.

She's not on the 1939 Register at that address, so I wonder where she went?

I still haven't found a marriage or a death for her.

there is a birth reg FreeBMD for Frank Burton mother's maiden name Riley in 1914 -might this be the frank on 1939 register

there is a marriage FreeBMD which may have been mistranscribed or not?

I got rather excited about that Croydon entry, but if she was born at the end of 1910, my Ivy would only be 14 at the end of 1924.
