John Price Hereford
« on: Tuesday 19 July 16 13:58 BST (UK) »
I am hoping for some help or suggestions on a 2x Great Grandfather of mine.

All i know about John Price so far is from his 1881 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire and onwards census returns and his marriage to my 2x Great grandmother Caroline Griffin of Staffordshire.

His birth dates vary from census's and his marriage certificate, some say 1853 and others 1857. He was born in Hereford, but no exact part is mentioned so i assume it is the town of Hereford itself. From the marriage cert i know he Father was a James Price who was a Cordwainer (Bootmaker/Shoemaker).

i have looked at census returns so far on Ancestry and family search for 1861 and 1871, but the only 2 i can find with the right name of Father who is in this job are born in specific places in Hereford and the birth dates are 1860.

Any ideas and suggestions would be welcome

I have found a family that fit the area and also the jobs, however the name are different from the 1861 compared to the 1871, its the same address and neighbors, a John appears on one and not the other. It is also listed as Hereford ward and the whole family are involved in Shoe making. It is proving difficult
