In the 'England births and baptisms' there is a John Taunton baptised 21 May 1769, with a father Charles - baptised in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.

Hence maybe looking for a marriage of Charles in Gloucestershire may reveal something for you.

Hello
Charles's Will of 1788 may help here.(buried 15.2.1788 at Mickleton)
He describes himself as a yeoman of Hilcote in the parish of Campden Gloucestershire.
He leaves his freehold farm, house and land to his beloved wife Ann for the term of her natural life and after her death to their son John.If she remarries he also gets the farm but she is to be paid £5 a year for life.
The bit that will interest you is a mention of brother's in law John and James Hancock as trustees of his Will..Ann is Executrix made 20.5.1786.
The full thing is on Ancestry.
Ann was also buried at Mickleton 9 Aug 1789.
So did the  Ann you found have brother John and James?

Stephen Hancock of Campden married Mary Moseley at Oddington 9.2.1734
He seems to have been buried at Blockley in 25.8.1793 age 80
There's a son John bapt 30.9.1739 and Eliz 6.11.1741,Elizabeth 6.12.1741,Stephen 20.2.1743 and 9.2.1744 ,and James just son  of Stephen 13.6.1746.

So yes she did have brothers John and James.

Thank you very much, and at last a will I can easily read ! I am helping a friend of my cousin who is descended from this family, but she knows nothing of them as it`s a maternal line.

A reproduction of Taunton's portrait hangs in the Board Room of the City of London Truss Society at 35 Finsbury Square, EC.

Wouldn`t it be great to see  this .
