Stirlingshire Resources: new link - Poor Relief Indexes
« on: Friday 22 July 16 15:35 BST (UK) »
A team of volunteeers at Stirling Archives have indexed Poor Relief records for 14 Stirlingshire parishes: Aberfoyle, Balfron, Balquidder, Buchanan, Callander, Drymen, Fintry, Gargunnock, Killearn, Kippen, Logie, St Ninians, Stirling, Strathblane. Records include General Register of Poor, Applications for Relief and Parish minutes, for the period 1814-1934. The actual records indexed and the period they cover varies by parish. There is a pdf index for each type of record in each of the 14 parishes.

What a great job  :) So helpful for people being able to search online and follow up at the archives if they find possible entries.
