James McCarrick and Catherine McCarrick (nee Stanton) Sligo
« on: Saturday 23 July 16 14:42 BST (UK) »
Hi

I wonder if anyone might help tracing b1811/1821 from Sligo. Hoping to identify any parents but also passenger lists of emigration from Ireland. According to 1851 census their first child was born c1846 in Liverpool, so assume (if this is correct) they may have left Ireland at the onset of The Hunger. Hoping to find out where in Sligo they originated and if the were were Hunger survivors. Many thanks

No passenger records were ever kept between Ireland and England.

Have you considered the 1842 marriage in Liverpool of James McCarrick and Catherine Stenson?  (see http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/ ).  There is also a possible earlier child, Antony/Anthony  (http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ shows a possible death for him in 1844).

The marriage is also indexed on familysearch:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NJW7-4N8
His father indicated as Hugh, hers as Andrew.
