Newry http://www.bagenalscastle.com/ancestry/ gives
Newry Town Agricultural Census 1803
Firstname   Surname   Location
James   Beatty   Ballynamagnah could be johns relation  but its location is in Drumballyroney civil parish the other side of Rathfriland
 from  same website
Householders' Index
its the tithe entries that could help if one can identify first names
Surname   County   Parish Name   Griffith Entries   Tithe Entries
BEATTY   DOWN      NEWRY (LORDSHIP)      1   0
BEATTY   DOWN      DONAGHMORE      1   1
BEATTY   DOWN      KILCOO         1   1
BEATTY   DOWN      KILKEEL         1   0
BEATTY   ARMAGH   CREGGAN         1   0
BEATTY   ARMAGH   KILLEVY (ORIOR UPPER)   0   1
BEATTY   ARMAGH   NEWRY (ORIOR UPPER)   1   0
there are problems acquiring  see Newrys tithe Applotment Books
http://www.irishgenealogyhub.com/down/tithe-applotment-books/newry-parish.php#.V8KsUGWoc5Q which suggests its under armagh records, which in turn reverses.  The originals are in PRONI Belfast who expect a visit to examine the record
to see an example see http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/reels/tab//004625717/004625717_00476.pdf  so  the first names are the most useful part of its use and townland location
so hoping that expands horizons
good luck on church records
