Ann Harris and John Collins
« on: Tuesday 26 July 16 12:24 BST (UK) »
I have very little information on Ann Harris and John Collins and they seem to have disappeared after the baptism of their daughter. I know they had a daughter, Ann Collins, who was baptised 24th March 1802 at St Martin's in Worcester. John Collins married Ann Harris on 8th September 1803 at St Martin's.
It looks like their daughter eventually moved to Pershore where she died in 1844 after marrying Job Jenkins in 1823.

I was hoping someone could help track Ann and John in the 1841 census or perhaps in the parish records. I don't think they had any more children after Ann in 1802.  :)

So Ann was born before her parents married?  Does the baptism give both parents surnames?

Wondering how if she was illegitimate you know the father  :)

Ann Collins' parents are given as John and Ann Collins on Familysearch. The marriage I have for John Collins and Ann Harris is the only one I could find which could possibly fit.

If you look at the 1841 census for Pershore, Job and Ann Jenkins have living with them two children with the surname Robbins. No relationships given in 1841 of course.
There is a marriage for a John Collins and Anne Robbins on 6 Oct 1800 at St Peters, Droitwich Worcestershire. Could be a coincidence but might be worth looking at her rather than Ann Harris.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

There is a 1833 baptism in Droitwich that could be one of the Robbin boys in so I'll consider the Ann Robbins marriage  ;D

Thanks
