I'm not sure about the age gap - there's a death announcement for Mrs Elizabeth Plummer of Llanhilleth in 1879, aged 95. The 1841 & 1851 would have her as about 83 in that year

Mabel where can I find the death announcement please.

There is an Elizabeth Plummer age 63 at Trevethin in 1851. Wife of James, whose age on the image looks to be 37 and has been transcribed as such

This Elizabeth in 1851 was living at Abersychan there is a burial 30th September 1860 Abersychan for an Elizabeth Plummer aged 72

This baptism is odd, all others I have noted have e.g. Mary Daughter of, John Son of etc, in this case it is Mary then something underneath, Daughter of William Plummer occ Collier and Rebecca Edwards

1841 for a Rebecca?

Hi Keyboard,
baptism in 1839 says "Reputed daughter of Wm Plummer and Rebecca Edwards".
1841 for Rebecca very possible as the Plummers were at Manmoel then.

She's next door but one to William Plummer (20)

Well at least you admit a misread census/thoughts for Jane /Martha 1861, so?  where is Martha Francis in 1871 onwards, and death/remarriage for Jane Thomas nee Plummer?

Thanks crisane, I don't have any James in my Plummers.
Looks like he and Elizabeth came over from Somerset, as did a lot of Plummers, but I haven't linked them to my family.
By the way could James be 87 on the census?

Hi again, either the age at death/census for Elizabeth is awry or she possibly married a much younger man, if the widowed James Plumer aged 45 b Somerset showing as a lodger with a Charles Donning/Denning and wife Maria and son James all born Somerset in Trevethin,  Abersychan 1861 is correct?
