Burial 16 July 1842
William Knighton aged 13

Possibly William Pettifor in 1841?

Also possibly William Knighton aged 10 living in Winwick, Hunts (in St.Neots RD) son of John & Hannah plus 4 siblings  - as per 1841 census. I can identify the rest of family in 1851 census but not William.

According to the Baltic medal roll there was a Charles Pettifor serving as a private in the Royal Marines on HMS Driver. There are also papers for him at the National Archives, although they are not yet downloadable  http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=charles+pettifor

I should also point out that no Alma clasps were issued to the RN or RM's.

Hi Martin,
Thanks so much for that info.  Will follow up on it and hopefully solve some of my mysteries about these 2 brothers.
Many thanks
