Hi Rathmore, that's him-it's an address I have from his second marriage certificate, many thanks. Does it say anything about where he was born??

It just says he was born in Leitrim, you could write of get in touch with The National Archieves, Kew, Surrey. Ref: W0363 records come under burnt documents, they should be able to help you.
When he died did it not say in his funeral write up were he was born, you could also tried the pensions they might tell you on that.  You are lucky because you have his regiment no. 700096.

Hi all, I have hit a brick wall in trying to find some info about my grandfather John Patrick Ford of Tawnyhoosy, Dromohair, Leitrim. I believe he was born circa 1873

Is there something you have that says "Tawnyhoosy, Dromohair, Leitrim." on it?

As you can see Tawnyhoosy, is in Killargue, Leitrim.
