According to Genuki, Somersham is in Huntingdonshire. Can't see any online sources for the period.

There are many Desboroughs on FreeREG for both Cambridgeshire and Hunts.

Whilst Huntingdonshire was absorbed into Cambridgeshire in the 1974 local government reorganisation most boards still operate using the historic counties. And as I'm sure you know Wayne, in 1706 Somersham was in Hunts, so Hunts is the appropriate board to post on. Not everyone with an interest in Hunts or has bought the CDrom of the Somersham transcription, necessarily looks at the Cambs board. It's in your own interest to post on the correct board.

Brampton may be in Cambs today but before 1974 it was in Hunts. Use www.genuki.com rather than your genalogy program to find out which county a parish was in.

There's not a lot of point in quoting, eg yesterday, Glatton Huntingdonshire taken from the IGI and then posting on the Cambs board because your tree maker says that's where it is now, asking for a look up in Hunts Marriage Index!
