It's that b... hyphen that caused the trouble!

Nope. It's also indexed as Shieton. So it's the b.... h instead of m that is the problem!

Double-barrelled names are normally indexed twice - once as the full double name (with hyphen) and once with the second part only (without the hyphen). As to why this one is indexed as a double-barrel, you might get a clue when you see the certificate.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Good grief! I didn't notice that.  Think I need new glasses.

I had the same problem - there are two entries for her - as J11 gave and Shieton,  Pearl-More

Just to say how I found the two entries:

I think I would go ahead & order the cert........

It looks as though the indexing is probably wrong i.e. once you receive the cert. you can let them know & your money will be refunded so in theory cert. would be free.

Of course it depends too on who registered the death.....they may have made a genuine mistake not knowing otherwise? so you wouldn't get your money back.

More likely the indexing is wrong then?

I've come across that before too & had my £ refunded!

I may be wrong but I thought there was a 50 limitation on online deaths.  If that is the case, you should be able to get the certificate through SP in September for 5 credits.
