I agree with Claire about the building looking art deco.

There appears to be lots of marble (or marble effect).  ;)

Where was Evelyn before she came to Australia?

Hi Hepburn & Ruskie Humm BRUSSELS.. Well i would have never guessed that's where the place was.. :) Evelyn was based in the UK but because she was in Military Service she was all over the world Italy France Australia etc.. I have plenty more photos.

I think you might be right i have just been looking at the same pages you posted the links to.. The Blog page showed the uniforms and the only ones that looked the same were the dark colour ones at the front on my photo. 

I still have the Roosevelt Club in the back of my mind but cant find any photo's relating to my photo.

Some clever detective work going on here! The different coloured pillars, being green and travertine in this pic, would go with the different greyscales in the original.
