Evidence that Mackley was a place can be found in 1881 census.  Search for George hallaby born 1836 Thurvaston Derbyshire. He is living Dale brook Mackley, on the next page of this census are a number of other entries for Mackley in the hamlet of dale brook parish of Sudbury
