Well, we've certainly wasted lots of time searching for information that was already known  :-\ as well as being given conflicting and evasive answers on this thread  ::)

The other thread also gives another version of one of the daughter's name. I see no reason to assume that one or both could not still be alive so their details really shouldn't have been posted here.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Alexander Taylor (fisherman) born 26 September 1911 and informant Gail Mortimer (daughter) signed the certificate 23 February 1994 Burnaby BC. Place of death :- Vancouver BC.
Father Alexander Taylor and Mother Annie Robertson both Scotland.
Spouse:- Elizabeth Wells Bratley. 5708 McKee Street Burnaby. BC.
Burial - Masset Cemetery.

The mother of "J" and "G" Mortimer - MORTIMER Bess (Elizabeth) It is with sadness Bess took her final journey on June 23rd, 2009 with her children by her side. Daughter of
the late Jim and Mary McCaig. Bess Mortimer, beloved wife of the late Ron (July 16th, 1979). Loving mother of her 5 children who will cherish her memory.....................

Emily Frances M Wells married William Oliver Bratle - 11 February 1915 Vancouver BC.

Emily Frances Bratley - 1896 - died 2 February 1973 - Vancouver BC.  Aged 77 years.
