Please estimate an age for William Ross in this photograph 1903

Can someone please estimate the age of the person in this photograph and tell me anything of interest you may see.

The back of the photo is dated 1903 and  I am told the person is William Ross who was born in 1851, however I am not sure this person looks to be in his 50s?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Well, he could be in his fifties.  His moustache is quite grey/white - unless that is a trick of the light.

Otherwise, I'd say at least forties.
