What were the names of both Jessie & John Ross' parents?

Where in Moray were they married & where in Moray was Simon Peter Alexander Ross born?

This may hold a clue to the possible name of 'Siss' which may have been Cecilia?

A possible;

ROSS CICELY 1917 126/ 2 Bellie, Moray (would need to be ordered)

A more definite place of marriage & Simon's birth would be helpful.

As mentioned in a reply on your previous thread - there are a great many female Ross births in Elgin.

Hello Carole - I have difficulty finding my way round this website and yours is the only post with 'reply'. The information I have so far is that Simon P.A.Ross was born at Lochiepots, Morayshire on 10.6.1913. His mother was Jessie Helen MacKay b. 6.3.1881 d. 15.10.1936 and his father was John P. Ross, farmer at Lochiepots, d. 18.10.44 aged 75. Jessie's parents were John MacKay and Anne Macdonald. Jessie and John P. Ross were married in Elgin 24.5.1911. Jessie had a son, no father mentioned, on 4.6.1906. Simon had two sisters that I know of, one my mother called Siss - I never knew her proper name - who lived in Forres in the early 1950s. She went to Australia with her family. The other sister lived in Elgin but I never knew her. I was at Primary School then. I would like to know more about his sisters - I don't suppose there's any hope of finding half brother John.

Rosinish - thankyou for replying. I don't know of any connection to Bellie which is near Fochabers - the Ross family lived on a farm at Miltonduff called Lochiepots.

Can you tell us exactly where in Moray the marriage took place & exactly where Simon was born please?

Edit....Which Parish for both

When did they live "on a farm at Miltonduff called Lochiepots"?
