Noble Family Fermanagh and Canada
« on: Wednesday 17 August 16 15:35 BST (UK) »
Hello
William George Hurst Noble was b 1858 Ballyreagh Fermanagh  and dies 10/8/1936/. Probate 23/11/36 to his  widow Alicia Jane nee Latimer b 1870 and their eldest son William Latimer Noble b 1899. Do not know when Alicia or her son died  and can find no wills at Proni for them or his siblings.
As well as  their son William Latimer Noble,  Alicia and William snr  had 6 other children. Very little known about them. All on 1911 Irish Census at Ballyreagh.

Reginald George Noble b1900 goes to Canada 17/9/1926- Montreal . We find him again in 1934 going back to Canada to Toronto. Records on Ancestry . He was a Bank Clerk. The address given in Canada in 1934 is I think that of his Bank 49 Howard street Toronto . His Brother Ernest James b 1906 also went  to Canada in 1926 on 17 July to Quebec .Record on ancestry . There is a death record on line for someone of the same name in Calgary in 1962 -but no idea if this is him.
Nothing more known about these brothers.

The other children of William and Alicia are Albert Andrew b 1902 Enneskillin , Esther Eveline b 1904, Alicia Sadie Anna b 1909 and Herbert Hugh b 1911.

Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you .

Belfast newspaper, August 1936:  A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest on William George  Noble (77), farmer, Ballyreagh, Tempo, who was found in a drinking pond, two feet deep, near his home.  Dr. H. Nelson, Fivemiletown, said Noble died from shock and heart failure caused by the fall in the water.

Belfast newspaper, Friday 14 June 1935: | CO. FERMANAGH WEDDING | Morrison-Noble | Garvary Parish Church, County Fermanagh, was yesterday the scene of a wedding between Mr. Robert George Morrison, only son of the late Mr. William and Mrs. Morrison, Abbey Lodge, Maguiresbridge, County Fermanagh, and Miss Ester E. Noble, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Noble, Ballyreagh, Tempo.  The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. William Noble, wore a gown of the new Margaret Rose corded satin, with a large picture hat and shoes to match.  A bouquet of mixed sweet pea lent an added charm to an already attractive toilet.  She was attended by her sister, Miss Alicia Anna Noble and Mr Jack Morrison, Tullymills, Maguiresbridge, carried out the duties of best man.  Canon Hall, rector of Garvary, assisted by Rev. W.E. Fleming, rector of Maguiresbridge, officiated.  A reception was later held at the home of the bride's parents, after which Mr. and Mrs. Morrison left for their honeymoon.

Following on from the reference to Garvary Parish Church in my post at reply #4, the following inscription is in the church graveyard (looks like the person in my post at reply #1 is correct):

Erected by William Noble of Ballyreagh: In Memory of his daughter Mary Anne who departed this life 15th of March 1871 aged 10 years and 9 months Also her mother Grace Noble, Died July 5th 1886 Aged 70 years Also her father William Noble died June 25th 1898 aged 86 years Also his son William George Noble died 10th Aug 1936 And his Wife Alicia Noble Died 6th March 1954 "And I saw the dead, small and great Stand before God" Rev XX6 12V.

(Large stone table [enclosed by wrought iron rails])

Alicia 31 Aug 1982 In Loving Memory from Nephew William 21 Sept 1982.

(Black ceramic vase [enclosed alongside above])

Also in the same graveyard, this may be connected:

Sacred to the Memory of George Ernest Noble, died 18th March 1960.

(Rectangular headstone with stone surround)
