1891 census shows Benjamin age 24, born Newbridge, a Railway Signalman, and wife Jennie age 22, living at Ivy Cottage, Pentwynmawr, Penmaen, Mynyddislwyn. Can anyone help with the name of the farm please?
The transcript says Small Farm, but I can't see an 'm' in there and I can't see 'Small Farm' anywhere else on the census.
RG12/4382/11/p16
Thanks for any help,
Rob

Thanks Robo,
still not sure about the 'm' in 'Small' but I can't come up with an alternative.
How about Ivy Cottage, Pentwynmawr; does anyone know the area? Does it still exist?

I wonder if Small Farm is an anglicised version of Tir-Bach Farm, hopefully shown in the centre of this map http://maps.nls.uk/view/102186280

Hi Spidermonkey,
I don't think it would be Tir Bach, but thanks for trying.
Great map by the way, good find.
