RC Baptism Lookup Request for Jacob Conroy 1887/8 in Hamilton.

I was wondering if someone might be able to look up the baptism record of an ancestor in my family tree?  His name is Jacob Conroy and he was born around 1887/88 in Hamilton.  His parents were called Thomas Conroy and Isabella Conroy nee Miller.  They were Roman Catholic.  The family were from Northumberland and returned there after Jacob's birth.  I have not been able to find a baptism for him in Northumberland so I think this baptism may have taken place in Hamilton where he was born.  Can anyone help with this, please?

Thank you very much for letting me know the exact year (1887).  I wonder if anyone knows of a Roman Catholic Church in Hamilton and would be able to check the records for his baptism details for me?  I would be very grateful for any support with this.

On Scotlands People there is no match for A Jacob Conroy on the RC baptisms in St Mary Hamilton and only 2  for all Missions and Parishes and I'm afraid its not your Jacob

have copy of cert, from scotlandspeople.gov.. Jacob Conroy 13 July 4 Allanton Rows Parish of Hamilton, father Thomas Conroy coal miner, mother Isabella Conroy ms Miller, married May 1 1880 North Shields England, John Rae Registrar July 26 1887 Hamilton.

The birth won't give any info. on a baptism as Rosie said, no baptism found.

Thank you for all these posts and for your interest in helping me in this research.  I am particularly grateful to Lud for the post on the certificate information.  This is new information for me about his date of birth and home address at the time - so this has been wonderful to receive this   I know his parents were married in the Registry office in the North Shields area but I did not know the date before your post, so I am very grateful.  It is a shame his baptism wasn't to be found in Hamilton, but I really appreciate that the kind Roots Chatter checked this for me.

All is not lost.

If you can determine when the family moved back to Northumberland & their location, Jacob may have been baptised in the local church.

Most baptisms I have found have only been the ones pre Statutory BMD's & 1880's is quite late so you may need to consult the Church for an entry although I can't be sure on what baptisms would be indexed online (England).

He could have been baptised at a later date in Northumberland did see the other baptisms for the other children
