Howard Edward Jackson married to Bernadette Adele MacShane 1952

Found the above's probate record at the NZ archives which is free to read if you are a registered reader at Wellington which I'm not as live in England. I was wondering if it gave his birth/death date and children as currently all I know about him is the marriage above.

Wife: Mrs Annie Grace JACKSON

Annie Grace JACKSON died 24 Jan 1951, and her Ashes are buried in the same Plot as he, in Karori Cemetery.

In the Electoral Roll for 1954 and later, Howard Edward JACKSON, Dentist and Bernadette Adele JACKSON, married, are listed at an address in Carterton. The same address at which he and wife Grace  were listed at up to the 1949 Roll.

His second wife is mentioned in Archway as being a Nurse around 1934-1940 in Otago (South Island)

His first wife was surname ROYDHOUSE - so this tree is from that perspective.
Lists the names and (1920's) DoB of  their 2 children (not reporting names here on RC though!)
His father listed as William Henry JACKSON
Mother Listed as Elizabeth Sidney .......

Hello AMBLY, Thank you very much for all your diligent research which has been very helpful. Seems strange that on electoral rolls post 1950 Bernadette is shown married but no sign of Howard?

I only had checked a couple  but they are both on post 1952 rolls I saw  (they only married 1952) . The rolls are in alphabetical order first by surname then by forename - so you won't see them listed side by side on the Roll - it's the address you'll need to match up.  In  earlier rolls I looked at, btw, she was listed as a Nurse, Spinster - so MacSHANE appears to have been her maiden name.

Yes I was aware of the MacShane name as it where I started from and the girls and guys on here have been very helpful in finding out about that family but there are still gaps in my tree as contacts made then haven't so far co-operated in helping me!
Yes I did look for Howard alphabetically but couldn't find him.

You could ask for a newspaper death notice look up for Howard Edward Jackson.

In the past I have done work for you on the MacShane family but can't recall if I obtained a death notice* for Bernadette Adele?

Interestingly, this death registration is shown on the NZ BDM on line index under both JACKSON & MacSHANE.

*If you do not have this, perhaps a Rootschatter could tell us where the death was registered?
