It looks like an RAF Cadet Officer (officer under training). The white webbing belt indicates a parade and perhaps he's just had his Passing Out Parade and he's off to do trade training.

The white flash on his chip bag hat means he's a cadet. Could be around WW2.

Thank you, I have several photographs of him but no idea who he is. The man in the middle appears to have Downs Syndrome but I have never heard of anyone in the family who had this.

He may have been billeted with them,  so not related as a possibility.

There is also a picture of the younger lady with a baby at what appears to be the same house.

The general dress style of these indicates 1920's.

I should be surprised if it was the same house. The house in the first two photos looks like a substantial property and the grey haired lady looks very much at home. The last photo with the whitewashed rubble walls looks to be more of a smaller cottage type place.

Clearly Jim1 is the expert, but my grandmother is dressed almost identically to the lady with the hat, at my parents wedding in '47. Having said that, she may have had the clobber for 20yrs...lol.

Well Jim's answer has thrown my theory out of the window as I was going to suggest the third one was 1920s and the first two as 1940s and that the toddler in the 3rd photo could be the very young man on the left in the first photo  ::)

The 1st. 2 photos were taken at the same time as they're all wearing the same clothes.
