Is it possible to transfer Family Historian to ipad
« on: Wednesday 24 August 16 17:34 BST (UK) »
It would be a great advantage if Family Historian could be downloaded from lap top to iPad.
Any ideas

Hi

I know s@dall about iPud,
however,
how about exporting the data from FH as a gedcom?

Then,
import said gedcom into wotever on yer  iPud ?

There are several Apps on the ipad which will accept a properly exported Gedcom file from Family Historian. (The easiest way is to use the plug in and create a gedcom 5.5 compatible file)

Unfortunately the FHUG Knowledge base doesn't appear to have been updated in this respect as there are several more Apps than they list. - the problem though may be down to the App store search system which gives different results if you search for :-
Family Tree, Family History, Genealogy or Gedcom ....
