Yes did see that only thing I can think of there has been a mistake on the information given  ???..I would suggest buying some credits for Scotlands People and get a copy of the 1911 census ...If you have her marriage certificate her occupation should be on it and see if it matches with the census record

Thanks Rosie  :) for the Scotland details.

Just adding her death record, it is on Family Search.

James was the informant, so perhaps he rounded up his stay and gave that for Margaret.

Cheers,
DB

I would say this would be the census record going by the address on the incoming list for James
1901 address 12.North street Paisley Renfrewshire
John Cowan age 61 born about 1840 Paisley spirit merchant
Janet Cowan age 62 '''''''''''''''''''1839 Paisley wife
James Cowan age 22'''''''''''''''''''1879 Paisley son house joiner

The Margaret Wilson who appears on the 1911 census in Lochwinnoch can be discounted.

She is this girl from the  1901 return
Kilknowe Cottages, Lochwinnoch and at 1911 this family are  still at the same address

Thomas Wilson   43 Widower at 1911 B ireland
Margaret Wilson   44
Mary A J Wilson   15
***Margaret Wilson   11 daughter b Greenock
Agnes Wilson   10
Elizabeth Wilson   8
John Wilson   6
Thomas Wilson   4
John Cummins   57

Rosie17: Where did you find the record of the Cowan family sailing back to Paisley in 1921 on the Saturnia?

Rosie17: Do you have to join Ancestry to access Canadian 1921 Census. It makes sense that Agnes was boarded out, and it would be interesting to know if the Cowans and the Cadies had any connections - James Cadie was a carpenter as was James Cowan, and were both Scottish. I would also be interested in tracing James and John (age 7) on the 1921 Canadian Census.

Rosie17: Where did you find the tree showing the deaths of George and Margaret Wilson?

CaroleW: Where did you find the record of James Cowan sailing to St John in 1913? Ditto - returning to Liverpool in 1912?

I am using FindMyPast and Canadian Passenger Lists at FamilySearch.org without success, but you seem to have access to sources a novice like me doesn't know about.
