Mother and baby home run by nuns in Southampton during the 70s
« on: Saturday 27 August 16 13:47 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I know that I was born (1972) in a Catholic mother and baby home in Southampton. I don't know the name of the institution but I was wondering if someone does as I would like to find out more about the place and its history.
thanks
M

Thanks Carol. It could very well be the place. Your help is very much appreciated. I was trying to find some photos of the building after it was rebuilt but can't seem to find anything. Anyway, it's a great starting point. thank you ever so much, it means a lot to me.

My pleasure M....Someone may come up with a photo so don't give up. You could try the library.
Good Luck  :)

Hi Rosie,
yes, I had to dig it out and hadn't thought to look at it. it says 33 Hill lane, so it sounds as if it was the Sister of Nazareth home. thanks.
regards
M
