Nazareth House was damaged and demolished during the war, and a new Home was built in about 1970, so you would need a photograph of the new Home. Don't know what they called it though, but Southampton City Archives would know. If you were adopted you can get more details from the adoption society.
regards.

Hi, I think you may be looking for Nazareth House, which was in Hill Lane. In the Polygon area of Southampton. It was / is a home run by Catholic nuns.Im not sure if it is still being used.It was a home for unmarried mothers It was used up untill the  1980, I moved away from that area in the 1980s. I am sure if you search Hampshire Website there will be a picture on there.

If you do an open search for Nazareth House you will find a lot of information on N/H, there is one part where you can do a search for births.
No pics of the new N/H only the old house. I am sure you will find some information on one of sites. Good luck with your search.

It appears the Mother & Baby Home closed 1985 and the property sold to developers. It is now Hampton Lodge nursing and dementia care home and Hebron Court apartments. The post code is SO155We if you want to look on Google Maps.
If you want help in locating a photograph could I suggest you try 'Southampton Memories People & Places' page on Facebook, perhaps someone could point you in the right direction.

Was looked after by the nuns at Nazareth House as I was pregnant and homeless. My daughter was born 45 years ago yesterday. I remember my stay there as happy, like a big family. The nuns were strict but fair. I can still make a bed with military precision as they taught me!

It's good to hear that your experience at Nazareth House was good.  You hear so many horrible stories.
