Ancestry blank screen
« on: Sunday 28 August 16 15:33 BST (UK) »
I have just renewed by subscription to Ancestry but when  find the person I want and click to see the census sheet I only get a blank screen. Anyone know why or have the same problem?

I had some problems yesterday like that?

It's probably all due to the free weekend Ancestry have at the  moment ::)

Maybe so but have been having the same problem for 2 or 3 weeks although not been on the site that often, makes me wonder why I bothered to pay for subscription if it does not work properly

My apologies  :)

Ancestry works perfectly well for me, even over this free weekend.  I use it at least once every day, and very, very rarely have any problems.

Perhaps it is something at your end  :-\  :-X

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I was wondering the same, BB.

Keith, what browser and image viewer plugin are you using to view the images?

I am using Google, not sure about image viewer plugin, working sometimes today if I click off and on again, but not when I try to see the previous census page.

You could maybe try a different browser to test if it's that. The default viewer plugin on Ancestry usually works.

Added - just noticed that there have been problems with Chrome and Ancestry images in the past.

I don't have Chrome on this machine so will go try it on my other one.
