Yes, it stated nursing home at the time, but I am looking for a more specific answer relating to the time that my great aunt had her child. Thank you

All the  evidence shows that it was a private establishment, owned and run by by Mrs. Helena Edna Mayall. As  Blue70 says you are very unlikely to get any more information than what you have.

I've just done a search on the Liverpool City Council virtual catalogue and nothing appears to be in the Liverpool archive for this home.

Was the building with the arched windows that you thought was number 8 in the link below? If it is then it's the wrong building. The building in the link below is a school:-

That school is Notre Dame Demonstration RC Primary School as shown on this map https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/335477/389949/13/101329 it is on the opposite side of Maryland Street to the houses

I have a photograph of 8 Maryland St,Liverpool from the internet, picture shows an old building with 'arch type windows', some appear leaded.

8 Maryland Street was just an ordinary house in a terraced row of houses.

It appears that the proprietor of the nursing home was Helen Edma (not Edna) Mayall. She was a maternity nurse. Born Helen Edma Long in 1880. She married John William Edwin Mayall, a master mariner,  in Liverpool in 1900.

There was a daughter Leonie Edma born in 1901.  There's an MI for her in Franzhhoek, Western Cape:

Helen Edma Mayall. was working on her own account in 1911, so self employed then.

There is a report on Mrs Mayall's court case in the Nottingham Evening Post - Thursday 16 February 1933, which says the child was born in the nursing home, and the witness was a nurse who was nursing a private case in the home. Strangely I can't see any reports in the Liverpool papers.
