You may need to contact the NSW State Records Office at Kingswood, who may refer you to the relevant Health Department.

There is 100 or 110 year closure on some records (cannot remember if it is 110 or 100).   And the date they use is the last dated entry on the page.   Sometimes there's more than one person's name on the page, so while you may be looking for 1914, it may not be available due to another person's entry also being on that page, but a much more recent entry.

Hospitals that are still operating

These hospitals include Bloomfield Hospital and Cumberland Hospital (Parramatta Mental Hospital). You will need to contact the hospital directly.

Phone them first, maybe they will take email enquiry for the initial check, and they should be able to explain what ID they want from you, as it is less than 110 years.   And of course, You are asking because you want medical history, you are not asking because you want to update your family tree.   ::)  ::)  ::)  Family tree enquiries are usually reminded of the 110 year rule.

Hi Bitzar,

no one answered the phone, so I just put it aside and have forgotten all about.
