That is helpful. Was "the elder" your clarification or do you know if that was how it was recorded?  I don't have a link to him yet but a good likelihood the other Gilbert in Sawley listed in the Hearth Tax might be his son,  "the younger"?

I think the place is Eavestone. Two Mark Theakstons from the same very small township with deaths a few years a part. Not sure how they fit together (yet...LOL).
