Donoghue Family from Killinure, Wicklow
« on: Friday 02 September 16 15:47 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

My grandfather's uncle was Laurence Donoghue from Killinure, Wicklow. He was born on April 25, 1894 to James Donoghue and Elizabeth Fenlon. He was involved in the IRB/IRA during the Irish revolution from the late 1910's to 1920's but I know very little about his time in this. He was Captain of 'G' Company, 3rd battalion, Carlow Brigade. Anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks,
Katelyn

Thanks for that, I've seen a similar report to this one that mentioned him as well.

Do you know if he applied for a Military Service Pension. His name does not come up in the online records yet but they are an ongoing project, however personal family information is not put online.
Only are close relation can get the full record and it takes about a year, but worth it.
