There is a 1754 Cardigan baptism that gives Owen, son of Thomas Lloyd Esq,that appears to  fit.Sadly,no mother given.

It appears that Owen was the "wrong" side of 40 when he started a family.  :o

Find My past has a number of baptismal images for an Owen and Dorothy Eliza Lloyd (children William, Richard, Owen, Thomas, Louisa and Anna Eliza), all baptized Nov 23 1809 and registered Oct 27 1813 - place Cardigan. Their birth dates range from 1796 to 1805.

Two entries on the same page have been heavily scored/scribbled out but I am sure I can make out
"Amelia, daughter of Owen and Dorothy Eliza ....." against which a legible note has been added ie.

"X see January 16 1807"

This is the baptism of Amelia in my previous post.

This family also part of the Earls of Lisburne (Irish establishment 18th Century). Family name Vaughan (Welsh). Lots of stuff on Wiki. Take a lot of copying out to put it all together.
Griffiths Llandogo, Mitcheltroy, Mon. and Whitchurch Here (Also Edwards),  18th C., Griffiths FoD 19th Century.

Thanks everybody.
I am now convinced that Owen (Ford) Lloyd married Dorothy Elizabeth Lloyd and had eight children.
He was born about 1854 and died in 1812.
I have seen other trees stating he married a Mary, but I see no evidence of that.

Success! A friend with an interest in the Lloyd family just sent me this image in a prominent position from inside Llangoedmore Church.
The age for Dorothea Elizabeth is illegible, but the information here confirms everything we have discovered about the family.
Another successful post on Rootschat. Thanks everybody.
