East Street Baptist Chapel burials, Walworth
« on: Sunday 04 September 16 15:53 BST (UK) »
Hi guys,

Does anyone know what happened to the burials when the East Street Baptist Chapel closed in the 1800s. Would they have moved the bodies and interred them somewhere else and if so where? or would they have just left the bodies and future developments built on top?

Any information would be appreciated.

Ann  :)

Hi

There is a small piece about it here, which may suggest the bodies were still there, but workmen uncovered coffins in 1936
