What a coincidence! I've passed the information on to my uncle Brian, he might want to make an appearance! I'm in London at the minute and moving to Spain in a few weeks to teach English so no doubt I'll miss it!!
Cheers for the heads up!

Ben:
I'm doing a family tree on Ancestry and have gotten back to James Gault born in Northern Ireland 20 Jan 1838 and married Elizabeth Luke born 1821 somewhere in Ireland. I can't find anything beyond that. I think they came to US around 1850. James died in Iowa in 1863. Any relation to the Gaults your researching?

Before Ben can answer he might need to know where in Northern Ireland your Gaults came from- and be able to trace his own family that far back.

Have you checked in all possible U.S. records for clues as to a location in Ireland? family Bible, gravestones, local histories, vital records? compared notes with other branches of the family in case they have information you haven't found yet?

Ben,

Great thread, my Great Grandfather was Henry Gault. Isabella's brother.

A couple of years ago i did quite a bit of research into WW1 & the Family tree, have attached a copy of this.

Have quite a bit of info on the Gaults in WW1 if you are interested.

Regards

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for the info, great to make a connection.

I’d love to take a look at the WW1 info you have, and my uncle has quite an interest so he will probably appreciate it too!

Thanks
Ben
