Old Street Blackford

Hi there. Does anyone know what happened to Old Street, Blackford. Several of my Mcgregor ancestors lived there in the 19th Century. Many thanks.

Just wondering if Old Street(on the 1851 Census) became Stirling Street.

The main road connecting Perth and Stirling became Stirling Street as it passed through the village, with hump back bridges at each end.

Moray Street was built later -

By 1863 road traffic also required improvement to avoid the two humpback bridges. A new street was laid out, Moray Street.
