Please restore if possible. Eileen Rigby( stage name EileenRae) my mum
« on: Wednesday 07 September 16 12:18 BST (UK) »
Hi, just wondering if some kind person can improve the quality of this photo of my mum. She regularly appeared in shows nationwide in the 1950's and 1960's as a singer, and this may be a publicity photo. Unfortunately the photo seems to have been cut in half, thus eliminating any clues as to where and when the photo was taken. Many thanks.

Just a thought, looking at the style of the mans suit behind my mum, what era would that style be from? She performed with Vic Oliver in 1952, then did cabaret shows in the early 1960's.

I am leaning towards 50s rather than 60s based on the man's hairstyle...but there isn't much to go on.

Thanks Carol, thought the same, because of the large radio? in the background. Looks like it could be from the Vic Oliver tour of the U.K. In 1952.

Is this a photocopy or a print out ? If you have the original a better scan would help restorers improve the photo for you  :)

I will try and have a go soon, but not confident a great deal of improvement can be achieved.

Well a larger scan is always so much better, but i managed to get some improvement with the existing upload...If you want better results then high quality (300dpi) would be great. In the meantime here is a black and white and colour improvement(s).
