Thanks for the information Annette7 and The Yokel, but I'm confused between Sarah and Elizabeth, William and Tabitha's daughters, I have them as being both born in 1767, unless one of them was born the year after.

Looking at the Parish registers we have

Sarah baptised 18 Oct 1767 at Arminghall
Robert baptised 14 April  at Arminghall
William baptised 1 June 1773 at Arminghall and Caistor St Edmund :-\
Edward baptised 27 March 1777 t Caistor St Edmunds
John and Charlotte twins baptised 16 April 1780, Charlotte buried 4 Feb 1781, John buried 11 Feb 1781 both aged 9 months.
John baptised 21 Apr 1782 at Caistor St Edmunds
Mary baptised at Bixley

no sign of an Elizabeth, BUT
see link to Caistor AT's which shows Elizabeth being publicly baptised and shows birth as 3 Oct 1767
( wonder if Sarah was an error at Arminghall or did they change their mind with the name)

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01ifv/

also mentions Mary and Robert

Still can't find a baptism for William

Instead of starting a new topic, I'll post here as it is of the same family. I am directly related to Robert Chittleburgh, the supposed son of William and Tabitha. However, I don't think this is the one I am related to.

There is also a Robert Chittleburgh who died in Topcroft, Norfolk c. Dec 1794, buried 1 Jan 1795 (which makes sense because his last child was born May 1795). Anyway, his burial record lists his father and mother, Robert Chittleburgh and Elizabeth Webb. Many family trees have his parents as William and Tabitha AND have him as being buried on 1 Jan 1795.

I have been researching this family for just over a year and have just noticed this error. I am wondering if anyone else is researching the Chittleburgh family and have some insight into this, or if anyone who sees this can help with the research.

Thanks for the links, I think it says 27 which would give a birth date of around 1768, which is about the right date, since he married in 1791 to Sarah Searle in Topcroft.
