A very sad incident for "Bill" and his wife.   He was a hairdresser on electoral rolls and children's name match the death notice.

Oh my goodness!  How sad indeed Ros.  It is hard to imagine how tough the times were.  I wonder what happened to Dorothy after all this and her daughters (two it seems from Darrell's notice of death) 

 You are putting so many pieces to this jigsaw puzzle together for me.  I am forever grateful.  I have spent ages trying to track down the little I had but I could never prove what I found except that Johnsons lived at Hampstead Road. 

I had to run in and wake my husband up late last night to tell him the news. 

Thanks so much for helping!  (Did I mention I have a few others that I have little information and hit a brick wall!)  Everyone has been so helpful!

Darrell John Johnson  who died 29 February 1968 aged 54 is buried with Elizabeth C O'Donnell who died 11 January 1947 aged 88. The headstone simply says ' Our Mother'.
