Edwin Mitchener-Was he born in Dorset?

Edwin George Henry Mitchener served in the Royal Corps of Signals in WW2. In 1944, whilst based in Newmarket he married Ethel Dinsdale. His age is given on the marriage certificate as 29 and hers as 34, although I know she was really 44!I know she was born in Dec.1899.However I'm having difficulty tracing his birth. Although stationed in Newmarket the certificate states that his home address was Coldharbour in Sherborne, Dorset.His father was also called Edwin George and is described as a "Groundsman". I know that there were Mitcheners also born in Hampshire.Can anyone spot something that I may have missed?
