I've read than over and over, a marriage of Daniel Leary from Derivane, father Corneilus married to Unknown some time before 1877.
Where would you even look!
I'm assuming you have looked in his parish.
His wife may be from one of the surrounding parishes but if the register doesn't give parents names or address which they often don't, you wouldn't even know if you found it.
Sorry I don't think it's a possible search without access to the searchable transcript of the parish registers. Which I don't have.

Maybe when the images of Civil Marriage Certs before 1882 are uploaded, it might be possible, provided they married after 1864.

Tks Sinnan - my own thoughts exactly a fruitless search at present as you say the church registers often do not have fathers names either. I will abandon this search for now. rgds
