Find a will (soldiers wills)
« on: Tuesday 13 September 16 14:56 BST (UK) »

Hi folks,

I was recently searching the "find a will" service. https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills

I just noticed there is a soldiers will search to. You can search from 1850 to 1986. Might be good if you are trying to trace a military ancestor.

Cheers.

Hi just found this post, have found a will on the website you mentioned for a soldier I found when looking for my great uncle William Smith, who I have been told died in ww2. I was wondering if anyone has ordered one of these before to know what sort of information is on the will ?

Thanks Jan
