OK reply not fully answering my original questions above, then again,  if there were no birth registrations of these children how are the Bassett lineage aware?

Why if not orphans were they put in Barnardos,  why Bassett at marriage/death not at birth, were they baptised?

EDIT Would I be correct that only Ernest & Joseph survived of the male line, and your objective is to follow the male line only?
;D OK see that there is another thread on the Bassett sisters, how many children are shown as born/died/living to Joseph/Jane on 1911?

To Keyboard 86

I appreciate your inquiry but the questions you raise are beyond my initial inquiry and answering your questions will not lead to the answer.

As I noted earlier I have made note of everyones responses and now my next step is to order the certificates for Joseph senior and junior. Until I receive and review them there is no point for anyone to continue researching my inquiry. If I need further assistance I will post a new inquiry.

Thank you everyone for your assistance
