Thanks Carol

Yes to make my search harder I dont know for 100% certainty this person is George Willaim Boardman

Im trying to down play the name now, (as this may be misleading if it is not him) and find out who he is through face recognition or the chains

That's why I looked at newspapers to help clear it up.

In support of Dawnsh's post* suggesting a trade association - the attached is father in law's chain of office as president of a Master Butcher's association. in the midlands.

Dear Members

The below person is believed to be my wife's great grandfather, but alas his name remains unknown

Would anyone happen to know how/ or if I can trace the person in the photo probably taken 1920 - 1930 by Moffitt art studio Accrington by tracing what the chains are ?

Is he a mayor/ mason or chairman of the council

I am desperate to solve this and hope someone can help me please

Regards

Steve
Steve,   Why do you think it is connected to Accrington, please?

Could it be because the photo was taken by Moffit art studio Accrington I wonder.

Morning Scouseboy

To confirm MaxD comments - the only reason I am presuming this is on the back of the picture/ which is a postcard it reads Moffitt art studio Accrington

It was framed, and duly looked after by my wifes gran - she would go on about it being her father/ but we do not know this for fact !!!!!!

There must be a family connection though I am sure of this
