There is an entry for Evan Gibbon but it is dated  8 September  1739.

There are 11 Gibbon Baptisms at St Cynwyds Llangynwyd between1662 and 1901.

This is the only Evan

By the way Evan Gibbon 1739 was illegitimate  as his mother's surname is given as Ann Edward.

Thank you for that information. It's very kind of you to look it up.

However, the article in a legal dispute I've seen is very specific to a 1723 baptism, so I think I'll have to dig a bit deeper.
