George Herbert Waite, 1860.
« on: Wednesday 21 September 16 16:22 BST (UK) »
George was born in Yeadon (or poss Guiseley) in 1860 and in 1881 was unmarried, at home.

I have been unable to locate him post 1881.

Could anybody help post 1881?

Might he have gone to Australia, like Titus did?

I have found a George Waite lodging in the house of Thomas MacHin in Sheffield in 1891, he is a single cattle dealer born 1861 in Leeds, that is pretty close to Yeadon and Guiseley.

1881: at Class: RG11; Piece: 4340; Folio: 64; Page: 46. With father and step-mother, Joseph and Esther.

There appears to be a George Waite born Leeds c 1861 - parents George and Lydia.

He was recorded as Herbert in 1871, so Australia ???

Birth name: not found a Birth registration or Christening record that "fits".
Closest is a Herbert in 1860 but he was registered in Leeds North sub-district not Yeadon.
