Locating A Burial
« on: Thursday 22 September 16 08:43 BST (UK) »
I have tried locating where Lora Duff Gale is buried, as my step mum is in the UK now, and is wanting to visit her grandmother, if possible. I have discovered her last years were at Banstead Hospital, she died 15/06/1982. I know she isn't buried there, the last burials were in 1955. I was given a reference no:-H22/BAN for London Metropolitan Archives but they had no records. I was then passed onto trying Streatham Park Cemetary, and from here on is where I encounter the payment system. Would anyone know if there is any way around this, where I can find her final resting place.
Much appreciated for any help.   ??? ??? ??? ???

Do you know for certain that she was buried and not cremated?

Perhaps you should try the Bereavement Services for the area.

You should find a contact address through the website.

I'm not sure, but you are right, it's more than likely she was cremated.
I will try Reigate-Banstead, and see what happens.
Thank you.

Hi rosie99,
Great stuff, finally a place to start looking for her.
My next question is, where now??
    Do I email the crematorium?
