irishgenealogy does not have Northern Ireland records for that time
However I can tell from another site that this Sarah Jane's father was Robert Barr McDOWELL
She was from Ballinahonebeg, Maghera
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan

Wonder would it be easier to track the one known brother I know she had, william mcdowell.....apparently they lived in belfast for a while together,  assuming he stayed there and died there aswell.

No I don’t think that helps. William McDowell is a very common name too. There’s 202 of them in counties Antrim & Down in the 1911 census.  Without some idea of when he died, and perhaps an address or occupation, I can’t see any easy way of finding him.
